Jack Dorsey, Twitter’s Co-Founder and CEO, has resigned. He Co-Founded Twitter in 2006 with Evan Williams, Biz Stone and Noah Glass. In the beginning, Jack Dorsey was the CEO of the company from 2006 to 2008. Then, in 2015, after 7 long years, he came back as the CEO again. According to him, Twitter should now move ahead from the shadows of its founders as a company, and that is why he resigned after being associated with the company in various positions for 16 long years. He did not give any other specific reason for his resignation.

Parag Agrawal from India, who has been the CTO of Twitter, will replace Jack Dorsey as the new CEO. Parag was born in Ajmer, Rajasthan, in India. He did B.Tech from IIT Bombay and then he did his PhD from Stanford University. Later he joined Twitter in 2011 after working for companies such as Microsoft, Yahoo and AT&T. He has been the CTO of Twitter since 2017.

Jack Dorsey expressed his confidence in Parag, but with the news of his resignation, Twitter’s share in the stock market fell by 2.74%. With time we will see how Parag Agrawal takes Twitter forward from here. But as an Indian, this news is very pleasing to me personally!
