I feel, before starting a business we should consider learning a bit of business. It will give a distant feel for the process. What are we jumping into? It is better to have a slight idea of what is coming our way.
Learning business does not necessarily mean, it increases the chances of getting success. But it can surely help in minimizing the risks.
So many people have started their entrepreneurial journey without any business education. Yet, they have succeeded. They learned while working. That’s good. No harm in that. A lot of people have succeeded in this way.
But I am not that talented. I need some guidance.
I think, learning business helps to develop the eye for an entrepreneur. This is the most important thing in the starting phase. Using common sense to identify the winning factors. A good business training or experience opens that eye for a person.
We all know about the risk factors in business. Failure is the hard truth for every entrepreneur. As per the recent statistics, 50% of businesses can not even survive their first year. It will happen. For a business to succeed it requires so many things to become favourable for the business. Both internal and external.
By learning business we can identify both the rights and wrongs that others have made, still making. Which an untrained eye may not be able to identify.
Also, the more we dig deep into the subject we create a connection with it. In tough times, this connection with the subject will make us persistent.
Proper business education can come from anywhere. Not necessarily an MBA. It can be from online courses, from books, from parents, from friends. From anywhere.
It does not matter where we learn from. Learning is what matters the most.
